how do you get back to these falls. i've always been interested in hiking back in the canyons. there have been so many rumors about black star that i've always been afraid to go. my daughter did go to a b-day party up at the baker creek ranch. not sure if you know where that is. it was beautiful. i've heard about art tuttle running people out with guns and dogs. i don't plan on vandalizing anything out there so i'm sure i wouldn't have a problem with the locals. if you can give me any pointers or any kind of advice on hiking there please let me know.thanks. i would love to see the falls.
the falls are on private property so legally you have to have permission from the owner to to go to the falls. my dad has direct permission but i am not authorized to tell u where or give u permission to go there. sorry
Henry is either misinformed or a liar. Black star canyon falls are on Cleveland national forest land, therefore it is not illegal for a member of the public to hike to them.
To reach the falls: Once you've passed the tuttle residence (on the right with miniature golf course and pond), continue straight when the trail goes left up the switchbacks. The falls come off of a cliff face a ways down the canyon floor. Another way to tell its obviously not private land, its the firstr area you come to that isnt fenced off with private property signs.
Henry is not misinformed or a liar because the falls are on private property and you do have to get permission to go. You would see if you looked thoroughly at the topographical maps. Even if you do receive permission the directions on the previous blog are incorrect.
Hi this is Elizabeth Tuttle, I am Art Tuttle's youngest daughter. He is an amazing man who only does the things you speak of because you are breaking the rules. If you want to avoid a confrontation with him you can keep your dog on a leash, not ride motorcycles, and stay on the road no matter what and lastly do not go up to the falls because it is dangerous and you obviously don't know the way up.
so I read about this blog and it definitely changed my mind about this place.
It does seem like it's been abused in a way and now I can see why people have shot fires to scare away intruders or have vehicles chasing after them. I always wanted to go to explore what it's like (I'm wiccan so my family and I are very very close to nature) But is it true that there was a satanic church?

I've checked county records of land grants and deeds. No Tuttle surname is listed on any document concerning Black Star Canyon
