It wasn't any sort of scary occurence. It was just abandoned there. No one died in it as far as we know. I have only been out there once but it was one of the best expierienes of my life. The rumors about the locals being mean are untrue. treat them with the same respect you wish to recieve and they will treat you well. Black Star Bill (William Studer) was the only squatter out there and he has been gone for about 6 years now. Arthur Tuttle is a born again Christian who is a very nice person. I have had the privalege of knowing Art on a personal level through his son Henry who attends my scshool and church. Art is one of the smartest people I know and is very kind. Not once has he cussed in my presence. I feel that he has been abused as a property owner and things would have turned out better if the people who had visited his area hadn't been so dumb about the things they did.
